Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park: A Drive Through the Northeast
Two weeks spent in Bar Harbor, Maine, and Acadia National Park were less than breathtaking. The Northeast is a place of rugged beauty, full of the kind of scenery that makes you stop and appreciate every single moment. The large and pounding surf along the coast, combined with warm locals and fabulous food, made this a trip to remember.
I have divided my time much between the ocean and peering into the interior of Acadia National Park. Whether it was a look-over of the scenery or hiking along one of the many trails, the landscapes were open and very captivating. The sunsets were particularly spectacular because the foggy conditions, so typical of Maine, would lift just enough to expose the brilliance of the colors in the evening sky.
Indeed, because of the fog that rolled in and out, the mood was often moody and mysterious-each characteristic perfect to capture the quintessence that was the wild beauty of Maine. Every hike, every view of the coast, was something new to shoot, something new to experience.
